DoS attack - IP null routed

  • April 12, 2013 by Mark Artyniuk
A large inbound denial of service (DoS)  was detected attacking the server your site is hosted on. The attack appears to
have been targeting the IP address 72.52.178.23 and that IP has now been null
routed on the Liquid Web network. This means that all traffic to that IP
address, including legitimate traffic, will be dropped.

The datacenter has taken this action due to the severity of the attack and because the
attack was causing packet loss for other customers. To prevent further
complications on the Liquid Web network the IP address will remain null routed
until the attack has subsided.

we can arrange your sites be moved to a different IP address, however this will take time to propagate.
